HHS wrestlers take second at Hesston Invitational tourney

Hillsboro High School wrestlers placed second of 16 teams Dec. 10 and brought home six medals from the Hesston Invitational Wrestling Tournament.
Medalists included Ric Johnson in fourth at 130 pounds. Nicholas Mueller took third at 135 pounds. Eric Cress won the 140-pound division. Matt Brown placed third at 145 pounds. Andrew Bina won the 152-pound division. Jacob Yoder took third place at 160 pounds, and Kurtis Shaw won the 275-pound championship.
Hillsboro junior varsity wrestlers competed Saturday in the Hillsboro Junior Varsity Tournament.
The team took first, second, and third places with Tyler Jones winning first at 125 pounds, Tyler Loften taking second at 189, and Frankie Martin taking third at 125.
