HHS scholars place third
Hillsboro High School hosted the Mid-Central Activities Association league scholars' bowl Saturday and took third place.
In pool play, Hillsboro lost to Wichita Collegiate 15-40, and defeated Halstead, 110-10, Marion, 80-25, and Haven, 90-30.
In the semi-finals Hillsboro lost to Sterling, 30-35, then defeated Wichita Collegiate, 50-25, in the third place match.
Team members were Robert Jost, Greta Kliewer, Clinton Schneider, and Victor Rogers. Coach is Stuart Holmes.
Voth named to
Hesston honor roll
Christopher Voth of Goessel has been named to the honor roll at Hesston College.
Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.89.
