Henry Ulmer

Henry Ulmer, 88, of Whitewater, died Nov. 11, 2003, at Newton Medical Center.

Born Jan. 16, 1915, on a farm southwest of Whitewater, he was the son of William and Lilly (Hiser) Ulmer.

On Jan. 30, 1936, he married Nellie Held at Lyons.

A retired farmer/stockman, he lived all his life in the Furley and Whitewater area. He was a member of Furley United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frederick Ulmer.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie; a daughter, Janet Duvanel of rural Benton; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Furley United Methodist Church.

Burial was in Green Valley Cemetery, Furley.

Memorials have been established with Furley United Methodist Church and Gideons International.
