Helen Tharp-Bailey
Helen G. Tharp-Bailey, 106, died May 30, 2008, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.
Born Dec. 3, 1901, in Marion County, she was the daughter of John and Angeline (Wimser) Siebert.
She retired from the Horse Shoe Ranch.
In 1924, she married Oliver Tharp. He died in 1967.
She married Dale Bailey in 1969. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She also was preceded in death by her only child, Max Tharp.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dalene Tharp of Marion; two grandsons, Vincent Tharp of Cedar Hills, Utah, and Blair Tharp of Marion; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service and inurnment was held this morning (Wednesday) at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
Memorial funds have been established with St. Luke Living Center, Marion Senior Center, or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home.
