Head of Florence city crew resigns

Florence City Council accepted the resignation at a special meeting March 30 of city superintendent Ken Hoffman.

Hoffman's resignation was effective March 28. No one has been hired to replace him.

"Right now we are filling in with available staff," councilman Ed Robinson said Monday. "We will be advertising for applicants, but we have it covered for now."

Hoffman was promoted from city employee to city superintendent in May 2004.
