Yes, we're still out here, doing our thing, we've just been too busy to tell everyone about it.
The month of September flew past with our monthly trip to McDonald's and then we celebrated the Colonel's birthday with a trip to KFC! That was a popular trip.
Parties were the theme of the month with a birthday party for Charles Hershey who invented Hershey's chocolate and then we had an autumn party to welcome fall.
In between all that we managed to have a green day, watch "Green Acres," bake breakfast cookies, celebrate "Piano Day" with music by Eleanor, and sing along with Elaine. How could I forget Johnny Appleseed's birthday Sept. 26, and then the big outing of the month to the Pumpkin Patch by El Dorado. Wow, that made me tired!
You might think we have run out of things to keep us busy in October, but think again.
"Homemade Bread Day" started the month with a tasty treat.
We went back to McDonald's Oct. 6. It's one of our favorite eating places.
Martha Klein celebrated her 90th birthday Oct. 7 with family and friends.
Columbus Day brought a craft and the on Oct. 20 we made pumpkin pies. That afternoon we ate pumpkin pie and played pumpkin jingo.
The afternoon of Oct. 21 we decorated pumpkins and judged them. Hannah took first place with Bev and Marga close behind.
This week has been an interesting one, we had our annual state visit to keep us busy but we still managed to fit in fun stuff too.
Beryl came to have coffee with us Tuesday and brought us homemade breads.
Wednesday noon we had a men's chili lunch.
Jessica Gilbert from Ramona visited us Thursday and told us all about scarecrows.
Friday morning began with a tour of the scarecrows in the Ramona area and the afternoon brought us a game of "Jacko," just in time for Halloween.
Halloween brought us trick-or-treaters. Some were old friends and we even made some new friends.
November began with a van ride to the lake and a trip to McDonald's. It was so nice to have Nicci, Heather, and Wendy along for the food and fun.
That was only the start of a month full of fun, holidays, and hopefully, many visits with family and friends. Come on by and find out what else we might be up to!
