Harry Potter zips in and out of Peabody
Jackrabbit Hollow, the bookstore in downtown Peabody, was no different Saturday than hundreds of other bookstores across the country.
As if by magic "The Order of the Phoenix," the fifth installment of the popular Harry Potter series disappeared from the shelves in less than 30 minutes.
"I was surprised when I opened the door and there was a customer from Marion waiting to get in and snap up the first copy," said owner Pam Lamborn.
Lamborn said a couple of people reserved copies in advance, but the rest of her shoppers saw her ad in the newspaper and came to "the Hollow" for the hot-selling novel by J.K. Rowling.
Lamborn has placed another order for the book which broke record sales nationwide over the weekend.
