This past spring the plea went out for new volunteers to help keep Peabody Elementary Parent Teacher Organization up and running. Parents responded and the PES PTO will be able to continue its mission of serving the students and faculty at the school.
Now a similar situation is happening at Peabody-Burns Junior/Senior High School. The current Parent, Student, Teacher Organization (PSTO) has not been active since spring 2004, due to various circumstances. This organization provided a variety of services to the students and faculty. New volunteers are needed.
A meeting to decide whether to reactivate, reorganize, or disband and distribute current funds will be held at 8 p.m. Aug. 23 in the high school lunchroom. This meeting will follow the open house. Plan to attend both.
PSTO is open to anyone who has a student attending Peabody-Burns Junior/Senior High School. The students do need all of us.
Get involved.
