Grandparents invited to lunch at elementary school
No grandchild? Go anyway, someone will adopt you
Peabody-Burns Elementary School students are inviting their grandparents to eat lunch with them Dec. 19. The meal will be served in the elementary school multi-purpose room and there will be a charge of $3 per grandparent.
"And people shouldn't worry if they don't have a grandchild in our school," said principal Ken Parry. "We have lots of children who would LOVE to have a 'grandparent' for the day!"
Serving times will be staggered according to grades.
Fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students and their grandparents will have lunch from 11 to 11:30 a.m. with an activity from 11:30 to 11:55 a.m.
Second and third grade students and their grandparents will eat from 11:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. with an activity from 12:10 to 12:35 p.m.
Kindergarten and first grade students and grandparents will have an activity first, from 11:55 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Their lunch period will be from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m.
Reservations must be made through the PBES office by Dec. 7. Call 983-2188 for questions or to make a reservation.
