Goessel High School volleyball head coach Crysta Guhr was disappointed Tuesday with her team's play against Sedgwick.

"We did not step up to the challenge and they dominated us from the start," she said.

Although the team played better against Little River, it could not come away with a victory against either team.

Goessel lost to Sedgwick for the second time this season 25-19, 25-19, and fell to Little River 25-23, 19-25, 18-25.

Courtney Berkholz had 16 digs, seven kills, and four aces. Brandi Raymond was cited for her passing and defense against Little River.

The Goessel volleyball team is now 16-5 overall and 5-3 in the Heart of America League.

Goessel played at home Tuesday with Bennington, Canton-Galva, and Hutch Trinity. Next Tuesday, the Bluebirds will be at Remington for the final regular season match.

Goessel will participate Oct. 15 in Sedgwick in the HOA league Tournament.
