Goessel, Berean defeats Lady Warriors

Peabody-Burns Lady Warriors traveled to Berean Academy Tuesday for two league contests with Goessel and Berean.
The Lady Warriors were defeated in the first match by Goessel, 25-5, 25-18. In the second match against Berean, the PBHS girls were defeated 25-14, 25-13.
During the Goessel match-up, Jessi Hilliard led the team with four digs and two blocks. Traci Windsor had three digs. Hannah Redger and Rebecca Morris each had two digs in the match while Morris contributed two aces.
Meeting home team Berean, Redger had nine digs and two assists. Hilliard had five digs and four blocks. Windsor has six digs. Kali Alstrom and Morris each had four digs in the match with Alstrom also chalking up five assists and two blocks. Jessica Gillett contributed three digs.
Lady Warriors will be in competition Saturday at the Olpe tournament. Start time is 8:30 a.m. with the junior varsity on the floor in the first match-up of the day.
