Gas skips investigated by Marion officers
Nov. 7: A suspicious person was checked in the area of U.S.-56 and Eisenhower Drive, Marion. An ambulance crew received assistance on a run. A K-9 search was conducted at Marion High School.
Tuesday: A wild animal was destroyed by an officer in the 200 block of North First Street. An officer responded to a wild animal complaint in the 1500 block of East Lawrence Street. A hit-and-run accident was reported on a business parking lot in the 1100 block of East Main Street. An open door was located in the 100 block of North Eisenhower Drive; everything was OK.
Wednesday: A verbal domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of North Locust Street. Interviews were conducted on a rape investigation. A trailer parked in an alley in the 600 block of South Freeborn Street was checked. Traffic control was provided for a semi that broke down in the 800 block of East Main Street.
Thursday: Loose horses were returned to a pen in the 500 block of South Third Street. Assistance was given to an ambulance crew with a run.
Friday: A dog running at-large was picked up in the 400 block of South Lincoln Street. Background investigations were conducted. Lost property was reported. Vehicle identification number inspections were conducted. Officers responded to a report of a possible intruder in a house on Eisenhower Drive; everything was OK. Two warning citations were issued for speeding.
Saturday: A gas skip was reported by Ampride. A citation for a dog running at-large was issued. Criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of North Cedar Street. Contact was made with a suspicious pedestrian in the 800 block of North Cedar Street.
Sunday: A gas skip was investigated at Casey's General Store. A warning citation was issued for illegal vehicle lighting.
Officers drove 648 miles, and issued one citation and three warning citations.
