Gaines family meets new family member

Ronnie and Patti Gaines and Maude Gaines drove to Perry Saturday morning where they visited with the Abel, Gantz, and Robb families. They got acquainted with Maude's great-grandson, Hayden Crawford Robb.

Patti Gaines visited her mother, Ester Highfill, Friday evening at Shiloh Manor in Canton. They went out for supper and did some shopping.

Thursday dinner guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers were Lawrence's sister and her husband, Dave and Shirley Smith of Wichita.

Al, Bonnie, and Shelby Plummer were Sunday afternoon guests in the Todd Plummer home at Rose Hill. They celebrated Morgan's 13th birthday.

Larry, Dee, and Steven Morgan vacationed in South Dakota from Tuesday evening to Sunday. Steven had a tonsillectomy Tuesday. We wish him well.

Charity Koehn of Jamesport, Mo., and Loretta Koehn were guests in the home of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee for a lunch Sunday evening after church.

It was a busy week for Joyce Kyle. She called on Marvin and Thelma Warkentine on Monday. Tuesday morning, she and Mary Langenegger attended the funeral of their aunt, Ann Gehring, at Moundridge.

Lois Sayers called on Joyce Tuesday evening. Kathleen Brenzikofer and Joyce took senior citizens' fair entries to Hillsboro Wednesday morning and helped set up. They picked them up Saturday.

Burns United Methodist Women went to Newton Thursday morning and visited the Kaufman Museum, coming back to Burns to enjoy lunch at Arletta's. There were eight who went to Newton. Four others joined them for lunch.
