Full slate of activities planned for Octoberfest

The Lincolnville community is gearing up for its annual Octoberfest celebration.
Activities begin Oct. 1 with a fun run at 7:30 a.m., registration at 7 a.m. Pre-registration is required for T-shirts. Contact Gail Burns by Friday at 620-924-5573.
Pilsen State Bank will sponsor a pancake feed from 8:30 to 10 a.m. with proceeds going to Marion County Fire District #5 at Lincolnville.
Entertainment will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a one-hour performance by the Alex Stuchlik Polka Band.
The 11 a.m. parade will focus on the theme: "Smalltown USA."
Lincolnville United Methodist Church will provide a noon meal on the church grounds. The Black Kettle Bluegrass Band will provide musical entertainment.
A kiddie carnival will be available from noon to 4 p.m. Fishing and horseshoe tournaments will begin at 1 p.m.
Maurice Pritz and friends will entertain at 1:15 p.m.
Marion County Sheriff Department Sgt. Jeff Soyez will give a drug dog demonstration at 2:30 p.m., followed by musical entertainment by a father-son duo, Sons of the Konza Prairie.
At 4 p.m., Kenneth Nienstedt will entertain with stories that rhyme.
The Centre Drama Club will perform at 4:30 p.m.
A raffle drawing will be held at 5 p.m. and door prizes will be awarded.
An arts and crafts fair, food booths, and flea market will be available all day.
Bailey's Tavern will sponsor a hog roast at 5:30 p.m.
The day will end with a youth dance from 7-11 p.m. in the park, and an adult dance with music by Clearview Band from 8 p.m. to midnight at Bailey's Tavern.
