From the president

Fall is my favorite time of year. I enjoy the rhythm of the season, the changing of the leaves, the crispness in the air, children returning to school with their new backpacks and smiles, football games, and fall festivals.
This morning as I was driving home five pheasants flew across the road in front of me. I imagined they were seeking a safe haven as pheasant season approaches.
Over the next hill came the flock of turkeys in the field, they were pecking here and there, getting ready for someone's Thanksgiving dinner.
Fall is such a special time of the year. It is time to harvest, count our blessings, and celebrate our traditions.
During a recent strategic plan meeting, we were listing our community strengths. The first one mentioned was the strong tradition of support and generosity of our community and alumni. This has been a productive year because of the dedication and contributions of many volunteers.
This newsletter updates you on recent projects such as signage, women's fair, membership opportunity, summer concerts, strategic plan, and new businesses. All of this has been possible because of the support and dedication of many volunteers. They have been generous with their time and financial donations.
When we count our blessings, our first thoughts are of all that continue the tradition of support and giving to our community. You are making a difference in our community and enriching the lives of all who call Peabody home. Thank you.
