Frieda Harder
Frieda Harder, 85, died July 25, 2002, at her home in Newton.
She was born July 25, 1916, at Newton, the daughter of the late Gustav and Katie (Regier) Entz.
She was married to Walter Harder Sept. 7, 1938, at Newton.
A member of Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, she attended Dewey rural school and Hesston Academy.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; daughter, Marilyn Kaufman of Newton; brothers, Gus Entz and Arnold Entz of Newton; sister, Helen Klaassen of Newton; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday morning at the Emmaus Mennonite Church with Pastors Rodney Crowell and Bill Wiebe officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorial funds were established in her name to Central Home Care and Hospice and Mineral Heights Christian Academy.
