Fred Bevan
Fred E. Bevan, 96, died May 31, 2002, at his home in Peabody.
Born Feb. 11, 1906, at Hamlin, he was the son of the late Rowland Day and Pluma A. (Fuller) Bevan.
Prior to living in Peabody he resided at Wichita.
He had retired as supervisor of United Warehouse and was a claims adjuster for Winters Truck Line.
Services will be held today, Wednesday, at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Herbert, Evert, Burl, Lamoine, and Spencer; one sister, Mabel Broadbent; two sons, Eldon and Stanley; and one daughter, Maxine Love.
Survivors include his wife, Virlee Bevan of Peabody; sons, Vernon of Valley Center and Larry of Wichita; daughters, Loleta Owens of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joyce Huebert of Park City; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the TV fund of First United Methodist Church, Wichita, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
