Frances Jacobs
Frances Elizabeth Jacobs, 78, died Feb. 17, 2005, at her home in Peabody.
Born Dec. 17, 1927, at Madison, she was the daughter of Clarence and Nellie (Crawford) Haas.
She graduated from Peabody High School in 1945.
On Oct. 15, 1945, she married William Jacobs at Newton.
She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary in Newton, Hesston, and Peabody. She was a member of First Christian Church, Peabody, and enjoyed classical music and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Clarence Haas; and sister, Arlene O'Connor.
Survivors include two sons, William of Peabody and Charles of Geneseo; a brother, Russel Morton Haas of Wichita; a sister, Lela McDonough of Wichita; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, Peabody, with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.
