Four arrested on drug, obstruction charges
Four people were arrested Sunday at a Peabody home on drug-related charges and obstruction of justice.
Gabriel Demmitt, 22, Harvey Grosse, 52, and Carol Grosse, 42, were arrested at 802 Chestnut, Peabody, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice. Dustin Glenn, 19, was arrested at 210 W. Second, Peabody, for obstruction of justice.
Early Sunday morning, Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Larry Starkey responded to a missing juvenile in Burns. The deputy went to 802 Chestnut in Peabody as follow-up in the investigation and spoke with Glenn and Demmitt. Both men denied any involvement with the juvenile.
Around 9 a.m. Sunday, the juvenile returned home and admitted to being at the Peabody address.
Officers returned to 803 Chestnut to arrest the two men for obstruction of justice. During the arrest, drugs were found in the home which led to the arrest of two additional people.
A search warrant was obtained and more drugs were found.
All of the suspects are from Peabody and have been released on bond. Their first appearance in district court will be Sept. 20.
