Former students invited to open house
To the Editor:
My name is Sarah Coulson and I am a fourth grader at Butcher Children's School in Emporia. Butcher Children's School, which is housed on the Emporia State University campus, is over 100 years old. But our school is closing at the end of this year due to budget problems.
Two of our teachers, Chris Warner and Margaret Davidson, are retiring when the school closes. They are great teachers and we are having a good-bye party for them and an Open House as a farewell to the school from 4 to 6:30 p.m. May 9. We would like to invite any former Butcher students or friends of these teachers to the gatherings.
