Forensics students place at Chase County

Peabody-Burns High School forensics team members competed Feb. 28 at the Chase County Invitational Forensics Tournament in Cottonwood Falls.

Medal winners were Sandra McLeod, second place, serious solo acting; Anna Zappone, second place, humorous solo acting; and Oliver Whitney and Zappone, third place, improvised duet acting.

McLeod has now qualified for championship forensic competition in May.

Other PBHS students placing were Chloe Boley and Holly Faunce, ninth place, in improvised duet acting.

Also participating were Katy Schmidt and Charity Gwinup.

Other schools participating in the tournament were Marion, Chapman, Council Grove, Clay Center, Hope, Olpe, Herington, and Hillsboro.
