Forensics students medal at Pretty Prairie, Marion
Several Peabody-Burns High School forensics students won medals Monday and last week in separate tournaments.
Durinig the Pretty Prairie Invitational Forensics Tournament Monday, Ruth McLeod was the only PBHS medal winner taking second place in prose interpretation.
Other participants were Jarred Weems in prose interpretation and Anna Zappone in humorous solo acting.
Other schools competing in the tournament were Moundridge, Andale, Buhler, Chaparral, Cheney, Fairfield, Haven, Hutchinson, Inman, Medicine Lodge, Sedgwick, South Barber, and Hutch Trinity.
McLeod and Chelsea Mackey received medals Thursday while participating in the Marion Invitational Forensics Tournament. Mackey received a third place in original oration. McLeod placed third in prose interpretation. Also participating was Virgilia Stevenson in prose interpretation. Other schools competing were Moundridge, Chase County, Marion, Northern Heights, Goessel, Hillsboro, Centre, Council Grove, Halstead, and Circle.
