Forensics students compete in two meets
Peabody-Burns High School students have done well in recent competitions.
At the Goessel Invitational tournament Seth Methvin place third in informative speaking and Charlie Rippe took fifth in original oration.
Participating in other areas of competition were Paige Barnes and Michaela Methvin in improvised duet acting, Paige Barnes in prose interpretation, and Seth Methvin and Charlie Rippe in improvised duet acting.
PBHS was among seven teams in attendance.
On Feb. 9 the students went to Council Grove for another invitational contest.
Seth Methvin took another third place in informative speaking. He and Alex Holm-McDowell placed 11th in improvised duet acting, and Grant Buller placed 13th in dramatic solo acting.
Paige Barnes and Michaela Methvin participated in improvised duet acting.
Other competing teams were Berean Academy, Rossville, Silver Lake, Hartford, Eureka, Marion, Madison, Chapman, Riley County, Mission Valley, Northern Heights, Olpe, Lyndon, Iola, Osage City, Clay Center, West Franklin, Wabaunsee, Centre, and Marais Des Cygnes.
