Florence Slaymaker
Former Peabody resident Florence L. Slaymaker, 93, of Emporia, died Dec. 16, 2007.
She was born April 23, 1914, at Nampa, Idaho, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Powell.
She was a medical secretary.
On Oct. 2, 1933, she married Clarence Slaymaker. They were divorced.
Survivors include a son, Ron Slaymaker of Emporia; daughter, Karla Lane of Aurora, Colo.,; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday morning at Peabody Christian Church with Pastor James Pohlman officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
