Florence personals: Mann honored with surprise birthday party

Mary Jane Grimmett attended a surprise birthday supper Friday evening at the home of Jeff and Tammy Jirak and family of Marion to help Dolores Mann celebrate her 70th birthday. Other guests were Richard Mann, Harold and Shirley Grinstead, Virgil and Hulda Schmitt, Tony Mann, Jared and Jordan of Cedar Point, Katie Ingalls and Shirley and Don Maxwell of Alma.
Bert Davidson of Amarillo, Texas, was a Friday overnight guest of his brother and wife, Ray and Eleanor Davidson.
Richard and Lucille Wyss were weekend guests of Sandra and Terry Rodgers in Garden City.
A large group of members and guests attended a picnic Sunday evening at the Marion County Lake hosted by the Florence and Aulne United Methodist churches to welcome their new minister and wife, Pastor Mark and Nancy Moore.
Visitors of Don and Twylah Nightengale throughout the past week were Pastor Harold Brown, Harold and Shirley Grinstead, and Fern Goodwin of Burns.
Dennis Schmidt of Newton was a Saturday evening visitor of Don and Twylah Nightengale. Rex and Berneda Jewell of Manhattan were Sunday afternoon visitors.
