Florence personals: Folks report 4th of July events

Guests of Don and Twylah Nightengale for the Fourth of July weekend were their daughter and family, Peggy and Doug Leitzen, Jeremy and Amanda of Marengo, Ill. Pastor Harold Brown was a visitor on Wednesday.
Mary Jane Grimmett was a Fourth of July supper guest of Richard and Dolores Mann at Cedar Point. Other guests were Harold and Shirley Grinstead, Tammy and Jeff Jirak and family of Marion, Tony Mann, Jared and Jordan, Katie Ingalls, and Adam Creighton. Guests later in the evening for homemade ice cream and fireworks were Don and Twylah Nightengale and their houseguests, Doug and Peggy Leitzen, Jeremy and Amanda.
Betty Ireland spent the Fourth of July weekend in Topeka with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ireland and family. Wanda and Kate Vaupel of Wichita picked her up in Emporia on Sunday. Kate will spend a few days with her grandmother.
Estelle McCarty attended the Marion County Home Care Service advisory board meeting on Monday in Marion.
Vernon and Cynthia Goertz of Winfield were Saturday visitors of Ray and Eleanor Davidson.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pankratz of Newton were Fourth of July dinner guests of Lenora Graham. Carol Ann Tacha of Meade was an evening guest.
Estelle McCarty and Christina and Randi McCarty attended the McCarty family reunion on Saturday at the Marion County Lake hall.
Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point and Virgil and Hulda Schmitt were Sunday evening visitors of Don and Twylah Nightengale.
Tim and Janette Parmley visited on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Steven Mauck in Lyons.
Sandra and Terry Rodgers of Garden City were Friday overnight guests of her parents, Richard and Lucille Wyss. On Saturday, the Wyss families attended the Phillips reunion at the home of Pat and Kenneth Phillips, near El Dorado. Sandra and Terry returned home Saturday evening.
Sunday afternoon visitor of Richard and Lucille Wyss was Travis Wyss of El Dorado. Marvin and Paula Wyss of Marion visited Sunday evening.
