Don and Twylah Nightengale and their houseguests, Peggy and Doug Leitzen of Durango, Ill., attended a Schmidt cousins family reunion Sunday at the farm home of Eddie Schmidt in the Tampa-Durham area.
Betty Ireland visited this past Wednesday with Margaret Ireland in Marion and her houseguest, Jo Gearhart of Wichita.
Ray Davidson and his son, Jeff Davidson of Eureka, presented a program Saturday evening in Halstead.
Peggy and Doug Leitzen of Durango, Ill., were Labor Day weekend guests of Don and Twylah Nightengale. John Schmidt of Longmont, Colo., also was a guest.
Saturday dinner guests of Betty Ireland were Wava Ireland and Sandi Rudy of El Dorado.
Mary Jane Grimmett, Jean Everett, Tyson and Melanie Grimmett, Bethany and Heidi of Marion, and Justin and Rachelle Grimmett and Ethan of Lindsborg ate supper together Thursday evening in Newton.
Don and Twylah Nightengale and all Twylah's brothers and sisters attended a family get-together Monday evening at a Newton restaurant.
Labor Day visitors of Betty Ireland were Edna and Jerry Malmgren of Overland Park. They joined Randy Hamm of Lenexa, Gus and Mildred Hamm of Tampa, and John and Joyce Padgett for dinner at Town and Country Café in Florence after the parade.
Sunday dinner guests of Joy and Orville Vannocker were Edith Hansel and Bill Welch of Madison, Marlin and Cherie Satterfield of Newton, Shawn Satterfield, and Russ and Nikki Vannocker and Reese of El Dorado. They were celebrating Joy's birthday.
Tuesday evening visitors of Don and Twylah Nightengale were Eldon and Gayle Cox. Thursday morning callers were Shirley Grinstead and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point.
Richard and Lucille Wyss were Grandparents' Day dinner guests of Jeff and Lynda Wyss and family.
Tim and Janette Parmley were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Parmley of Montrose, Mo. Additional guests were Dustin, Becky, and Miranda Collins of Deep Water and Ashley Parmley of Clinton.

Don and Twylah Nightengale attended the open house Sunday afternoon of Eldon and Gayle Cox at their home in Florence. Eldon Cox is the minister of Cedar Point Community Church. Sunday evening they visited with Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point.
