Special music at the Florence United Methodist Church this past Sunday was the bell choir from the El Dorado First United Methodist Church. Following worship services, members celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a potato bar for lunch.
Florence PRIDE Committee members report a good crowd attended the St. Patty's dinner Saturday evening at the Legion building. Those attending were served a candlelight meal featuring baron of beef. Bones Ownbey of Elmdale and Cheryl Robinson Dody of Emporia provided entertainment.
Robin Allen of Newton was a Saturday evening visitor of Richard and Lucille Wyss.
Lenora Graham and Georgia Spohn of Tampa visited Tuesday with Earl Pankratz in Newton.
Supper guests of Ronald and Kathleen Ludwig Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taylor of Marion. They helped Ronald celebrate his birthday. On Friday, Ron and Kathleen attended a funeral in El Dorado.
George Cole of Walton was a Wednesday visitor of Don and Twylah Nightengale.
Visitors of Richard and Lucille Wyss Friday afternoon were Loren and Mildred Cox of Newton.
