Florence library receives grant
Florence City Library has been awarded a Children's Book Grant from the Libri Foundation.
The foundation provides rural libraries with quality children's books through a two to one matching grant process.
The matching share of the grant was through Flossie Jackson memorial funds. As a patron and board trustee, Jackson supported the library.
Sixty-nine new books for children of all ages now are available for checkout at the library.
A celebration party will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library. Everyone is invited to attend.
