Florence folks attend concert at Wichita

Among those attending the Gaither Family Concert Friday night at the Coliseum were Harold and Chloe Triggs, Dewy and Jane Stevens, Mary Jane Grimmett, Don and Twylah Nightengale, Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point, and Dan and Shirley Maxwell of Allen.
Visitors of Harold and Lois Huntley this past week were the Mike Huntley family of Newton, Kris Hysom of Wichita, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown of Council Grove, the Wayne Ireland family of Topeka, and Betty Ireland.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pankratz of Newton and Mrs. Ron Carpenter of Silverdale, Wash., had lunch one day this week with Lenora Graham.
Christina McCarty of Denver, Colo., was a Thursday afternoon visitor of her grandmother, Estelle McCarty.
Bert Zogelman and Scott Zogelman attended the Marion High School softball games Thursday evening at Hillsboro. Bert's granddaughters, Krista, Heidi, and Katie Zogelman, all play for Marion. Marion won both games.
Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Strong were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Furman of St. Joseph, Mo.
Bert Zogelman and Myrtle Swann attended the open house Wednesday of the new Burns Community Center.
Roseva McLinden of Marion and Betty Ireland represented Marion County Thursday in attending the Family and Community Education district meeting at McPherson.
Blanche and Bill Williams of Wichita visited Sunday afternoon with Gladys Lespagnard, Ernie Hurdle, and Harvey Wells.
Bert Zogelman and Scott Zogelman attended an all-star basketball game Friday evening at Emporia State University. Krista Zogelman was chosen to play on the team.
All of Betty Ireland's children visited her Sunday and brought a birthday dinner and cake to help her celebrate her birthday. Those attending were Wava Ireland of El Dorado, Wanda Vaupel and Katie of Wichita, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ireland, Kimberlee and Matthew of Topeka.
Estelle McCarty and Betty Ireland ate lunch at the Burns Café last Wednesday and attended the open house for the Burns Community Building.
Bert Zogelman and Scott Zogelman attended the regional music contest at Tabor College on Saturday. Heidi Zogelman played a French horn solo and received a I rating.
Jean Everett visited Ed and Linda Hepburn in Benton Saturday. They attended a wedding shower in Wichita for Jean's grandson's bride-to-be, Tara Munley.
