Fish fry is a success

The Florence Historical Society met July 8 at the Harvey House Museum. Members present were Sarah Cope, Twilah Williams, Judy Mills, and Neva Robinson.

It was reported the annual fish fry was a huge success and chairman Neva Robinson had praise for all who made it successful.

Twilah Williams reported she had correspondence from several members who wrote notes of appreciation for the latest newsletter. If anyone has any articles for the next newsletter, they can be sent to Mary Jane Grimmett.

A new shipment of Harvey House cookbooks has arrived and again are available for sale.

Members served a dinner July 12 to a group from College High United Methodist Church, Wichita. Several of the Harvey girls will give a presentation at Cowtown on July 19 and 20.

Ways to recognize contributors to the Harvey House were discussed. A board of directors will be voted on at the next meeting.
