Fifth annual Safe Kids Camp is April 22 years ago
Staff and volunteers from Peabody and Marion County emergency services will host a Safe Kids Camp at Peabody-Burns Elementary School April 22. All elementary school students will participate. There is no charge to the students or their families.
Safety issues to be presented include seat belt use, water, railroad, electrical, and weather safety, and safe use of 911.
Members of area emergency services will assist Peabody ambulance, fire, and police personnel. The Harvey County smoke house and a Lifeteam helicopter will be brought in. Officers with Kansas Highway Patrol and Marion County Sheriff's Department will help local volunteers.
Students will receive an information packet and a T-shirt.
Parents are invited to attend any of the sessions.
