FCCLA offers cooking class
Peabody-Burns High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members provided cooking classes after school as part of an elementary school grant.
The classes were for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders.
FCCLA members Jennifer Schmeling and Jade Garcia were responsible for the class activities. The two will use this experience to prepare a contest event for the FCCLA District G meeting Feb. 4 in Newton.
Foods prepared during the after school classes were bread sticks and cheese sauce, cake cones with frosting, and individual pizzas. Other FCCLA members helped with food preparation.
