I hope all fathers had a happy Father's Day!

Dusty Gaines of Newton, Ty and Kim Gaines of Emporia, and Ronnie and Patti Gaines all went to Wichita Sunday for dinner to celebrate Father's Day.

Father's Day dinner guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee were Nathan and Ella Koehn, Roland and Kim Koehn, Deby, Doug, Kayla, and Diane, and Royce and Rachel Koehn of Jamesport, Mo., and Judy Koehn.

Vernon and Florine Koehn left for Grant, Neb., Saturday morning to attend the wedding of Russell Koehn and Martha Doolittle.

Saturday supper guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale were Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia of Kearney, Mo., and Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado. They were joined on Sunday by Mitch and Cathy Foote and Kristen of Manhattan and Brannon Wilds of South Carolina.

My sister, Mary Langenegger, had a birthday Friday and we celebrated all week long. Archie and Maryellen Stenzel of Marion came to the Burns Café for breakfast Wednesday morning, Kathleen Brenzikofer asked Mary and I to dinner at the café on Friday. That evening, Greg and Zeola Langenegger took us to the café. Glenn and Daytha Langenegger, Emily, Amber and Laura, Greg and Zeola Langenegger, Mary Langenegger, and I went to Wichita Sunday evening to the Crown Uptown Theater for dinner and a great program. It was "Smoke on the Mountain." I would recommend it to everyone. It was a wonderful week.

Bruce and Megan Sayers attended the rodeo at Strong City last Saturday.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers and her sister, Marcy Archer of Cottonwood Falls, were Father's Day dinner guests of the Sayers' daughter, Sandy, in El Dorado.
