Roy and Bev Reynold's house guests from July 7 to 13 were their son and family Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Reynolds, Alex and Rebecca of Madison, Ala., and Bev's brother and family J.D. and Pam Goodwin and Mary Beth of Hampton, Va.
The above joined family members for a get-together at the Community Church in Cedar Point. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Goodwin, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jones, Sterling; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Goodwin, Hillsboro; Kathy Dowell, Leon; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carinder and Jacky Preston, El Dorado; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Reynolds and Kelley, Winfield; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Goodwin, Nowata, Okla.; and Mr. and Mrs. Orval Goodwin, Cedar Point.
Bev said they appreciated the use of the church and that everyone really had a good time.
We were saddened to receive word from Violet Hicks' son Jim that Violet died June 19. She was 86 years old. Violet and Earl Hicks were married June 9, 1972. She moved back to Mountain View, Mo., after Earl's death in March 1997, to be closer to her family. Violet was originally from Mountain View. We were friends for a long time and we missed her.
Hazel Clothier visited Harvey Wells and Ernie Friday afternoon.
Wonsevu's visiting minister Sunday morning was Jim Burley of Manhattan. His message was taken from the book of Jonah, "Jonah's Disobeying of God's Repentance."
Have a good week!
