Especially for you
We are trying something new this week. Included in this issue of the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin is a newsletter from the Peabody Main Street Association. And the whole shebang is going out not only to our regular subscribers, but also to PHS and PBHS alumni — about 1,800 of you according to those who typed the labels from the list provided by the high school alumni association. A cooperative effort to be sure. All of us involved in this project hope you will enjoy reading about what is happening in Peabody. If this first effort shows promise (mostly if it just gets to you), we will consider the experiment a success. Then the plan is to do this quarterly — probably — maybe.
Main Street wants to bring you up to date on what is going on in Peabody and keep you connected. The alumni association hopes to get some much-needed address corrections (not being able to find you drives them crazy!) And the newspaper gets to show off its new format, help its advertisers reach more potential customers, and maybe snag a subscription or two while we're at it.
As with most first efforts, we are flying by the seat of our collective pants here. When the printed version actually shows up for distribution we expect some gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair — it tends to happen in this business. However, we have made the effort and are ready to put this baby to bed. We hope you enjoy it. Let us hear from you.
And look for us again. We won't give up until we find you.
