Ensminger, Glover to perform in 'Sound of Music'

Julie Ensminger and Steve Glover will perform an eclectic variety of music Sept. 25 during the "Sound of Music," a musical walk around Peabody presented by the Peabody Historical Society.

The annual fall walk will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. along Walnut Street.

Ensminger and Glover both grew up in Peabody and have been playing music together since the fifth grade. Ensminger attended Wichita State University studying music education and working part time at Jim Starkey Music Center in Wichita. Currently, she is employed with Senseney Music in Wichita, serving as an instrumental music representative.

Steven Glover is a Kansas State University graduate in music education. He teaches fifth through 12th grade band in the Peabody/Burns school district and kindergarten through third grade vocal music. Also, he is choir director at United Methodist Church in Peabody.

The two have performed many saxophone duets at various area events.
