Elwood Moore
Services were held Wednesday afternoon for Elwood Orin Moore, 88, of Newton.
A retired motel manager, he formerly lived at Whitewater.
Services were held at Bob Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater, with burial in Whitewater Cemetery.
He was born on a farm south of Whitewater, the son of the late Orin E. and Susan May (Keyes) Moore.
He died April 22, 2002, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
On June 10, 1939, he was married to Maxine D. Baxter. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Larry Moore of Newton; sister, Helen Mayhew of Lakewood, Colo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his name at the American Legion in Whitewater.
