Elaine Fern Foster

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday for Elaine Fern Foster, 85.

A lifetime resident of Abbyville and 1936 graduate of high school there, she was a homemaker, farmer, and livestock producer. She also was a craftsman and avid quilter.

She was a member of Abbyville Community Church. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Abbyville Community Center with Chaplain Frederick J. Obold, Mike Ehling, and Keith Dellenbach officiating.

Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery.

Born Aug. 6, 1918, at Abbyville, she was the daughter of the late David and Gladys (Deck) Ehling. She died Aug. 11, 2003, at home in Abbyville.

She was married to Darrel M. Foster May 10, 1942, at Abbyville. He died April 17, 2000.

Survivors include sons Gary and Scott Foster, both of Abbyville; daughters Patricia (Mrs. Ali) Halabi of El Dorado and Pamela (Mrs. Robert) Harber of Whitewater; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.

A memorial fund has been established in her name with Hospice of Reno County.
