Doyle Hyett to address Main Street annual dinner
Featured speaker for the Peabody Main Street annual dinner will be Doyle Hyett of the Washington, D.C., based marketing firm of Hyett-Palma. Hyett-Palma conducted the initial market analysis for the Peabody Main Street program in 1990 and a follow-up analysis in 1993.
"Since we are emphasizing our program getting back on track, we are fortunate to have someone familiar with Peabody Main Street and its history available as a speaker," said Joanna Brazil, Main Street manager.
"Getting Back on Track" will be the theme of the annual dinner which will be held March 5 in the basement of the United Methodist Church. Brazil will outline the accomplishments of the last few months and the goals for the program as she and the Main Street board move into a new phase of economic revitalization for the city of Peabody.
"We are excited to have Doyle Hyett back in the community," said Brazil. "And we are especially pleased that the state has arranged his visit to Peabody. We hope its is a measure of their faith in our ability to bring the Main Street program back up to an effective level."
Hyett will speak to the community about Peabody's history as a Main Street city and offer some guidelines for recreating and maintaining some of the early success the community enjoyed.
The annual dinner will begin at 6:30. Tickets may be purchased at the Main Street office in the city building, at Sharon's Korner Kitchen, or from any Main Street board member.
