Dorothy Scrivner
Dorothy H. Scrivner, 96, died Sept. 25, 2004, at Friendly Acres Nursing Home, Newton.
Born Aug. 30, 1908, at Anthony, she was the daughter of Paul and Amy Burnet.
She was a school teacher before her marriage on July 3, 1941, to Henry Scrivner. He died in 1998.
They lived in Whitewater until she moved to Newton eight years ago.
She attended First United Church of Christ in Newton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Jim; and two sisters, Hazel and Ruth.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Cerny of Narks and Mildred Barton of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchlidren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Church of Christ, Newton, with the Rev. Bill Hickerson officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Elbing.
Memorial funds have been established with First United Church of Christ, Newton, or Federated Church, Whitewater.
