Mildred Butts

Mildred E. Butts, 88, of Peabody, died Jan. 3, 2005.

Born Nov. 30, 1916, at Walton, she was the daughter of Vernon and Emma (Converse) DuBois.

On Jan. 15, 1948, she married Delmire Butts in Newton. He died in 1983.

She was a waitress.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; a brother, Lowell DuBois; and a sister, Leora Carmichael.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody.

Duane Klose

Duane Klose, 49, of Hillsboro died Jan. 3, 2005 at Via Christi, St. Joseph Campus, Wichita.

Born Sept. 28, 1955, in Marion, he was the son of Albert and Jerri (Hess) Klose.

He was employed at The Lumberyard in Hillsboro.

Survivors include his parents of Hillsboro; a son, Joshua Taylor; and a sister, JoAnn Hicks of Marion.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating.

Inurnment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with the American Heart Association or Zion Lutheran Church building fund.

Edward Milbourn

Edward Milbourn, 69, of Chanute, died Dec. 30, 2004.

Born Feb. 12, 1935, near Peabody, he was the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Garber) Milbourn.

He was a hospital food service worker.

Survivors include a brother, Floyd Milbourn of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and a sister, Harriett Norton of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, with the Rev. Linda Willey officiating.

A memorial fund has been established with Applewood Rehabilitation Inc. Nursing Center of Chanute.
