Thelma Manka of the senior class was awarded the Kiwanis Scholarship Award Friday evening at the commencement exercises.
The barn at the Ross Smith farm southwest of Peabody was destroyed by fire Monday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Skinner are the parents of twins, a son and a daughter, born May 16 at Bethel Hospital in Newton.
Miss Dorothy Ansdell was the guest of Mrs. Irvin McPheeters on Tuesday.
Dr. E.H. Johnson stated Monday that 44 years ago that day, he had arrived in Peabody. 1902-1946 has brought many changes in Peabody.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eberhard were honored with a shower Monday evening at their home. The shower was given by the families of the neighborhood. The evening was spent playing games and refreshments were served.
