A new warehouse is to be constructed on the lots south of the DeForest Hatchery and over near the Santa Fe tracks. The work of clearing the site has been completed and construction work is to start as soon as possible. The Sante Fe will build a spur side track to the new building and other improvements are in the picture for this firm.

Jackie Kirkpatrick, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kirkpatrick, underwent an appendicitis operation at the Wichita hospital Monday evening. He is recovering nicely.

Dean Robinson went to Winfield for the weekend and attended the Southwestern College-St. Benedict's of Atchison homecoming football game on Saturday. Wesley Buller, a freshman at Southwestern played most of the game and made several outstanding plays.

Mrs. John J. Heath was hostess to the Luncheon Bridge Club at her home on Wednesday.
