The members of the Baptist church feted the high school seniors of their church with a dinner Wednesday evening. Seniors included Bernadine Frans, Corval Sattler, James South, Gerald Clark, Martin Koslowsky, Mary Budde, and Lucille Westbrook. Toastmaster Ernest Roberts welcomed the guests with Bernadine Frans answering with the response.
Weston Pitts has received his discharge from the Army and returned home last week. He was stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky. Pitts began work this week at the Ross Mathias IGA where he worked for two years before entering the service.
Neysa Eberhard took her English IV students to view the play, "Mad Women of Challot," Saturday evening at Emporia State Teachers College. Those attending were Charles Windsor, James South, Larry Robinson, Charles Bentz, Wanda Schmidt, Beverly Klein, Warren Slocombe, Gene Manahan, Gerald Clark, Bernie Frans, Jan Pierce, Mrs. Don Pierce, Carmen Fisher, Lynette and Donella Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nicklaus and Delores. The Nicklaus family had a special interest as their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ed Nicklaus Jr. had a part in the play.
