Harry H. Brown, veteran teacher and administrator at Peabody High School, will retire at the end of this term ending 33 years of service in the local school system.
The new Ross Mathias IGA Store is holding its official opening this weekend. The re-modeled structure, formerly occupied by the Haas Implement Company, has many opening specials and will be giving away many free prizes to customers this weekend.
Larry Decker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Decker, is now in Chicago with Capital Airlines as a ramp agent. Decker recently graduated from Weaver Airlines School in Kansas City.
Barbara and Mary Palmer were guests in the Jesse Seibel home Wednesday night to watch the academy awards presentation on TV.
