Mr. and Mrs. John Bloomer are the parents of a daughter, Faunette DeAnn, born March 12 at Axtell Christian Hospital.
Two Peabody High School juniors have been chosen to attend Girls' State at Lawrence this year. They are Karla Slaymaker and Vicki Davis.
Word has been received by Gary Jones, local FFA adviser, that Joe "Fireball" Gaines has won the district Dairy Production Award. One of the basic requirements to win this award is that the applicant must have a farming program suitable for a "State Farmer." Joe fulfilled this requirement last year.
