Robert Schmitt was the winner in the one-club tournament held Sunday at the Peabody golf course. Schmitt shot a 39, using only a two iron. Gaylord Maples won the prize for the longest drive on No. 8 and Bill Krause placed his tee shot closest to the pin on No. l.
Mrs. Charles Shepler returned home Thursday from a ten-day visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Guthrie, Robin, Michael, and Angela, at Bedford Heights, Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schelske of Mc- Pherson visited in the home of Dorothy Craig Memorial Day.
Mrs. Wesley Skaer and Mrs. John Heath attended commencement at Concordia Thursday. Tom Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Clark, was a member of the graduating class.
Mr. and Mrs. James Johnston will host a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at Glenwood Manor, Overland Park, in honor of Miss Jane Ellen Robinson and their son Second Lt. Korbin Johnston, whose marriage will take place Saturday in Kansas City, Mo.
