Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Harsh and Keith and Ray Beeton returned home Friday evening from a vacation trip where they visited relatives at Hiawatha. They also visited the Amana Colonies at Amana, Iowa, and historical places at Galena, Fulton, and Quincy, Ill., and the state of Wisconsin.

Vic Strotkamp is proudly displaying a rather good catch up at the Bait Shop this week. It is a 43-pound catfish pulled out of the Cottonwood River last Thursday night by Vic and Jerry Foth, two of the more determined fishermen of the Peabody area.

Jackie Farr of Peabody was one of the outstanding twirlers at the 13th annual Thurman's Baton Twirling Camp. Jackie is a senior at Peabody High School this year.
