DAYS OF YORE: 25 years ago
Liz Holm, senior at Peabody High School was crowned 1981 Homecoming Queen last Friday evening in ceremonies prior to the Peabody-Hesston football game in Peabody. She is the daughter of Luba Holm of Peabody.
Rich Dale, longtime druggist in Florence, is helping out this week in Don's Rexall Drug store in Peabody while Mr. and Mrs. Lemley are away for the funeral services for Mrs. Lemley's mother, Lilly Strand.
Dinner guests of the Warren Slocombes last Wednesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hughes of Pollock, S.D., and Glen Nellans.
